Position Details:  Location: BayCare Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Center, 5329 Primrose Lake Circle, Tampa, FL 33647 Status: PRN, As- Needed Shift: Variable, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM On Call: No Always in person  The Ambulatory Surgery RN responsibilities include:  RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards  RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team  RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization  RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned    For this position, we require at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred. This is a PRN position that will be focused on circulating Ambulatory Spine Surgery. Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RN (Registered Nurse)
  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
  • Required 1 year acute care experience or 1 year interventional / procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or interventional / procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
  • Clinical skills appropriate to position
  • Interpersonal skills
  • At least 2 years of RN experience
  • Always in person

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
  • Preferred Nurse Specialty
  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing
  • Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
  • 1 year RN experience in Surgery preferred
  • Surgery or Ambulatory Surgery experience is strongly preferred
