Title: RN - Registered Charge Nurse - Medical/Surgical Neuro “We dedicate our lives to caring for yours” Position Description: RN - Registered Charge Nurse BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Medical/Surgical Neuro team at St. Joseph's Hospital. The Registered Charge Nurse responsibilities include: Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills. Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team. Professional accountability and development. Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse. Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS Certification if required by department
- RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion
- 2 years of RN experience is required
- Interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking skills
Nice To Haves
- Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
- 1 year of leadership experience is preferred
