The position involves assessing, planning, organizing, performing, and evaluating nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient. The RN promotes adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, promotes safety, and maximizes patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, completing assessments, formulating and providing plans of care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members. The RN is accountable for ensuring the best patient and family experience and actively participates in quality and safety education programs.
