About The Position

Billings Clinic is seeking a Regional Nursing Informaticist to support the utilization of EHR technology for regional affiliates. This hybrid/remote role involves serving as the primary subject matter expert for Cerner/Oracle EHR systems, providing clinical and technical expertise, and facilitating the integration of data and systems to improve productivity and quality outcomes. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and involves travel to affiliate sites for assessments and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Three years' experience as an RN in a healthcare facility.
• Two years of experience with Cerner/Oracle EHR.
• Current Montana or Wyoming RN license.
• Current Montana or Wyoming driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate Degree Master's in Nursing.
• Nursing informatics experience.
• Experience providing structured clinical/adult education.
• MSN and/or Informatics Nursing Certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Cerner/Oracle EHR systems.
• Coordinate with Regional Leadership and key stakeholders for planning and implementation.
• Identify problems and concerns regarding EHR performance in various settings.
• Develop orientation systems and training processes for personnel.
• Support implementation and management of EHR system configurations.
• Provide expert analytical techniques to current work processes.
• Research and analyze to resolve problems with system functionality.
• Evaluate and recommend enhancement needs for EHR development.
• Collaborate with Regional Leadership and healthcare providers.
• Develop and provide EHR-related education both in person and virtually.
• Travel to affiliate sites for on-site assessments and support.
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to EHR.
• Develop quality improvement activities related to informatics.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends in information management systems.
• Support and model behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission and values.
