About The Position

The Imaging Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care within the imaging department. This role requires strong clinical judgment, patient education skills, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality imaging services. Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assisting and performing interventional radiology procedures in a variety of modalities
• Supporting breast care invasive procedures and patient navigation
• Coordinating and monitoring pacemaker patients undergoing MRI imaging
• Scheduling procedures
• Conducting pre- and post-procedure phone calls to ensure patient safety and readiness and discharge follow up
• Works directly with a variety of Radiologists and technologists
