About The Position

About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of Work The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing and Operational Leadership according to Beaumont policies and procedures within an ambulatory setting. A radiation oncology nurse provides specialized care to patients undergoing radiation therapy for cancer treatment. Their responsibilities include coordinating care during radiation treatments, monitoring patients, educating them about their treatment, managing side effects, and coordinating care with other health care offices. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive and effective care throughout their treatment journey. This is a position in Radiation Oncology Ambulatory Clinic that is open M-F 7:30-4:00PM. No Weekends or Holidays.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate’s degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant experience acute care nursing experience Required
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association department specific Upon Hire required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree B.S.N, or M.S.N, or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years. This is effective April 18, 2023.
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown department specialty Upon Hire preferred
