About The Position

Overview Under general supervision, is responsible for assisting in the abstraction and analysis of system-wide quality data. Collaborates, communicates, and educates all levels of hospital staff and physicians regarding new and updates to existing quality data metrics. Monitors and evaluates the need and/or compliance of quality/performance improvement initiatives across the hospital system to ensure the quality of patient care. Provides assistance to other staff with tasks related to overall operation of the Quality Management Department and the Medical Center. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Alabama
  • Possess strong interview, critical thinking, negotiation, collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in advanced use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit effective time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital staff and physicians
  • Ability to work as a patient advocate to ensure a patient centered focus
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and supplies
  • Capable of job training and teaching Medical Center and Department policies and procedures
