About The Position

RN Quality Assurance & Infection Control Coordinator The P rogram of A ll-Inclusive C are for the E lderly (PACE) offers a variety of services, with many of them provided onsite at a PACE Center. PACE is an alternative to nursing home care and – through an interdisciplinary care team (IDT) of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, therapists, van drivers, and aides – coordinates and provides preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care services, so older individuals can continue living in the community. Make a Difference in Quality, Safety, and Patient-Centered Care Senior Care Partners PACE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Quality Assurance & Infection Control Coordinator who is passionate about quality improvement, infection prevention, and supporting high-quality care for older adults. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys collaboration, data-driven improvement, and making a meaningful impact across an organization. What You’ll Do Under the direction of the Associate Director of Quality Improvement, you will support organization-wide quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives while serving as a key leader in infection control and regulatory readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required (MSN preferred)
  • Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license required
  • 4+ years of clinical nursing experience (6 preferred)
  • 4+ years of healthcare quality improvement/assurance experience , preferably in PACE, managed care, or health plan settings
  • Experience working with frail, elderly, or long-term care populations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have reliable transportation, current valid Michigan driver’s license and car insurance.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be fully vaccinated, or willing to be fully vaccinated against the following communicable diseases: Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap/Td, Covid-19 and Hepatitis B.
  • Must be willing to work beyond normal hours and be part of our on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and advance the organization’s Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
  • Analyze Service Delivery Appeals and Grievances (SDAG) data to identify quality-of-care concerns and recommend improvements
  • Conduct chart reviews, audits, and root cause analyses to support high-quality, whole-person care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participants, and caregivers to resolve concerns and improve outcomes
  • Serve as a liaison during appeals, grievances, and quality-related inquiries
  • Support CMS and MDHHS audit readiness, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Maintain and oversee the infection control program, including surveillance, outbreak response, and regulatory reporting
  • Educate staff and partners on infection prevention and control practices
  • Monitor compliance with infection control standards and evolving CDC, MDHHS, and OSHA guidance
  • Contribute to participant satisfaction initiatives and health equity efforts
  • Participate in process improvement projects and staff education initiatives
