Requirements
- Work experience requirements: Minimum three years experience in mental health setting recommended. Assessment and referral experience preferred.
- Required licenses/ certifications/courses: Registered Nurse and having South Carolina state licensure for that field
Responsibilities
- Performs nursing assessments.
- Performs group psychoeducation.
- Performs family psychoeducation.
- Performs individual psychoeducation.
- Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
- Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients
- Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
- Participates in the development of treatment plans.
- Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
- Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
- Charts every session.
- Participates in program development meetings.
- Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
- Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
- Compiles and maintains accurate patient charts
- Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary
