Requirements

  • Work experience requirements: Minimum three years experience in mental health setting recommended. Assessment and referral experience preferred.
  • Required licenses/ certifications/courses: Registered Nurse and having South Carolina state licensure for that field

Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing assessments.
  • Performs group psychoeducation.
  • Performs family psychoeducation.
  • Performs individual psychoeducation.
  • Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
  • Performs initial precertification and concurrent reviews on PHP patients
  • Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
  • Participates in the development of treatment plans.
  • Reviews and updates treatment plans as needed.
  • Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
  • Charts every session.
  • Participates in program development meetings.
  • Communicates and coordinates services with supervisor.
  • Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
  • Compiles and maintains accurate patient charts
  • Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary
