About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) at the Psych Hospital is responsible for assessing and addressing patients' health alterations, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Florida.
• BSN preferred at the time of hire.
• Professional nursing board certification preferred at the time of hire.
• Nurses hired after April 30, 2014, without a BSN must obtain one within three years of hire.
• Nurses hired after June 30, 2011, without professional nursing board certification must obtain it within two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in psychiatric nursing.
• Advanced certifications in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess patients' alterations in health.
• Implement nursing interventions based on theoretical concepts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Involve patients and families in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts.
• Supervise and direct care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
• Assign and delegate care to qualified members of the healthcare team.
• Coordinate care between different professional disciplines.
• Participate in unit-based activities to foster a positive work environment.
