About The Position

New Grads Welcome! The Intermediate Care Unit is a 25-bed unit caring for a variety of patients. Our unit falls under the critical care umbrella. This unit is considered a cardiac unit and the patients are typically monitored on telemetry. IMC is a fast-paced environment; the acuity of the patients can change rapidly. The IMC staff works together as a team to provide the patients with the utmost efficient care. Corewell Health Taylor Hospital Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed, Magnet®-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography). Scope of work As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Requirements

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months

Nice To Haves

• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• 1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU Preferred
