Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. Martin South Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit cares for patients that require a higher level of monitoring, including telemetry. Patients on this unit typically have been stepped down from the ICU. As an RN on the team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will specialize in intermediate-level care, monitoring acutely ill patients and providing specialized treatments and emotional support to help patients recover from illness or injury, all while fostering strong connections with patients and families. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS certification through the American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
