Join Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital's team of caregivers that provide top-quality patient care to the Port St. Lucie area. Opening its doors in 2013 and expanding in 2017, this state-of-the-art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers a wide variety of services to meet community needs. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Tradition Hospital is a specialized area within the hospital that provides care for patients who are too ill for a regular hospital floor but not sick enough for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As an RN on this team, you will specialize in intermediate-level care, monitoring acutely ill patients, and providing specialized treatments and emotional support to help patients recover from illness or injury, all while fostering strong connections with patients and families In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of patients and families every day on top of enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience, nursing committees and advanced education opportunities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross certification upon hire or within the first year of employment based on the department service level
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • PCU experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
