Implements the nursing process by assessing patient and family needs and by analyzing assessment data to develop and support clinically accurate diagnoses. Plans care by establishing goals with measurable outcomes. Implements the plan of care and evaluates the patient’s response. Documents care according to the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth policy and to regulatory agency requirements. Administers medications, and performs procedures safely and efficiently according to policy. Administers blood and blood products according to policy. Evaluates educational and psychosocial needs of the patient and family. Incorporates needs into the plan of care. Manages the environment of care. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations appropriately. Maintains ACLS and BLS certification. Identifies appropriate community resources to promote continuity of care, and make appropriate referrals. Works collaboratively and functions as an effective member of the health care team. Conducts bedside shift report, with fellow nursing staff and hourly rounding. Education and Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Evidence of continuing education. Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing process. ACLS and BLS certification. Telemetry experience required. PCU/Step Down experience preferred. Certification/Degree Current RN License, Massachusetts Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred Pay Range: $37.14 - $82.22 This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
