About The Position

Logan Health Medical Center has an opening for a Seasonal RN to join our team in PCU! This is a unique chance to elevate your nursing career with a full-time commitment for 13 weeks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Seasonal RN in our PCU, you'll work with high-acuity patients, tackling complex conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and respiratory issues. You’ll also play a critical role in post-operative cardiac care, handling heart catheterizations, pacemakers, and more, while gaining experience in advanced respiratory and kidney disease care.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position required.
  • Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice.
  • Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required.
  • Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including HIPAA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and coordinates individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients through the use of the nursing process.
  • Maintains nursing standards of care and responds to changing workloads and patient conditions.
  • Transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments both verbal and written accurately and efficiently.
  • Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.
  • Exhibits a thorough practice of infection control procedures per policy and procedure.
  • Identifies, verbally evaluates, and reports identified reaction changes in the stated physical and mental conditions of patients.
  • Documents all encounters with patients seeking health advice according to organizational standards.
  • Provides individual instruction and education to patients and families concerning health and medical needs.
  • Assesses and anticipates the needs of the patient, and coordinates the necessary interventions.
