Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtain and maintain required department specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and perform patient assessments.
• Provide patient education and triage.
• Handle various interventions as required.
• Work in emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking.
• Perform age-related patient assessments and interventions.
• Schedule tests and interventions per provider order.
• Utilize the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Care for patients across all phases including assessment, disease maintenance, treatment, and follow-up.
• Maintain working knowledge of electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with providers during surgical and non-surgical procedures.
