Extensive Orientation: Dive into our comprehensive training program, including AORN’s Periop 101. Receive six months of in-depth training to ensure you are fully prepared. Rewarding Opportunities: We cater to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures at our top-tier facility. About the OR Methodist West Hospital: Methodist West is a level 4 trauma center. Receive in depth training to make sure you are prepared including AORN's Periop 101. Provide care for patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures. Collaborates with various members of the surgical team to ensure safe surgical procedures and patient care outcomes. Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, dental, robotics. Methodist West performs more orthopaedic surgeries in Iowa than any other hospital system. About the Cath Lab: S pecialized hospital unit where minimally invasive procedures are performed to diagnose and treat heart conditions. Using catheters threaded through blood vessels, clinicians can assess heart function, identify blockages, and perform interventions like angioplasty and stent placement. Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, technologists, and cardiologists who deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. We perform a wide range of procedures, from heart catheterizations to emergency interventions. The Cath Lab plays a vital role in both diagnosing heart disease and delivering life-saving treatments.
