Specialized Care: Our unit provides advanced renal and dialysis care, including hemodialysis, continuous cycler peritoneal dialysis (CCPD), and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Nurses on our unit are highly trained in telemetry, ensuring close monitoring and optimal patient outcomes. With a 4:1 patient ratio, we ensure manageable workloads, allowing for high-quality care and better patient interactions. Our unit thrives on strong interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with physicians, dialysis specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Under the direction of nurse director/charge nurse, patients and families are provided competent holistic care based on nursing process on assigned units.

Requirements

  • Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri.
  • Required: Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA.
  • Required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from AHA within 1 year of hire.
  • Preferred: One year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent holistic care based on nursing process on assigned units.
  • Monitor renal and dialysis patients closely.
  • Perform specialized procedures related to renal and dialysis care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and dialysis specialists.
  • Ensure optimal patient outcomes through telemetry monitoring.
