About The Position

The General Pediatric Clinic at Arkansas Children's provides a competent level of nursing practice to autonomously deliver safe and effective patient and family-centered care. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Nurses are expected to utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience to analyze, think critically, plan, prioritize, and organize care, make appropriate clinical judgments, and efficiently manage both routine and unexpected clinical situations.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent or Nursing Diploma.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State.
• 1 year of nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a competent level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
• Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a competent level in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Competently assesses patients and provides developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
• Analyzes information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates variations and patterns in patient/family data.
• Provides individualized patient and family education at a competent level.
• Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence.
• Exemplifies and supports the AC Professional Practice Model.
• Participates in interdisciplinary shared decision-making activities.
• Actively participates in the improvement of patient care and nursing practice.
• Accountable for the quality of patient care by initiating advocacy actions for patients and families.
• Participates in councils, committees, taskforces, and hospital initiatives.
• Competently mentors, coaches, precepts, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
