South Pointe Hospital’s Surgery Center conducts a wide variety of surgical procedures, such as general, dental, urology, radiology, cardiac and more, providing patients from age three to geriatric adult with top-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be caring for patients in the pre- and post-anesthesia care units while assisting fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• PACU experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
