RN - Pre-op/PACU - Mercy SD
About The Position
This is a Full Time, benefited 12 hour varied mid/evening shift at our Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. The role is as a RN in PreOp - PACU but you will mostly work in PACU. The shift will start between 0800-1000. There is weekend and on call requirement. Requirements
- One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within PreOp PACU or ICU
- California Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS, ACLS from American Heart Association certifications
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Telemetry experience
- 2 + years of PACU experience
Responsibilities
- pre-anesthesia preparation and observation and maintenance during the procedure
- monitoring and caring for patients are they are coming out of sedation after surgery.
- Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes
- Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
