About The Position

The Clinical Resource Lead Amb (CRLA) is part of the leadership team and recognized as a clinical expert in their functional area of expertise, providing leadership, knowledge, experience and research. The CRLA leads and oversees the staff and work to ensure the overall movement of patients throughout the practice/clinic is managed in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures. This position also facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations and collaborates with management and educator(s) to monitor and maintain staff performance and outcomes. The CRLA supports team members in alignment with HHC's vision, core values and leadership behaviors. In addition, the CRLA facilitates solutions for challenging patient care situations and collaborates with the unit manager and educator to monitor and maintain staff performance and outcomes. The CRLA is the acting Manager in the absence of the absence of the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager or office/clinic administration.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • 3 years of experience in area of expertise
  • 1 year of charge or preceptor experience
  • Current CT RN license
  • Other certifications may be required in specific specialties
  • Must be able to communicate in a variety of mechanisms utilizing the English language.
  • Must have strong patient assessment, patient management, and documentation skills.
  • Must demonstrate appropriate clinical knowledge to evaluate and prioritize patient issues.
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to set priorities and be able to manage a work team.
  • Must possess a resilient spirit and unrelenting passion for taking action and making things happen.
  • Must demonstrate capability of handling multiple priorities and be an independent decision maker.
  • Must maintain membership in professional nursing organizations.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as be able to provide presentations to a variety of audiences in a professional manner.
  • Ability to travel between locations may be needed based on practice/clinic.

  • Certification in at least one identified patient population preferred or to be obtained within 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to the team in providing holistic, safe, and high quality care for a diverse patient population. Manages staff resources appropriately to facilitate safe, effective patient care.
  • Utilizes evidence-based clinical knowledge to prioritize and engage the team in formulating a plan of care based on patient/family needs.
  • Acts as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up. Serves as a clinical resource to colleagues within the practice/clinic.
  • Provides expertise to team members to assist with complex problems in patient care.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed
  • Provides leadership in the application of the nursing process to patient care and organizational processes and/or systems to improve quality, safety and experience outcomes in the department.
  • Reviews, updates and assists with the development of department metrics and education of policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Partners with management to initiate, support and monitor practice/clinic changes, new initiatives and department standard work.
  • Collects and monitors quality metrics and identifies gaps in practice/clinic and education.
  • Monitors and audits practices and processes for the highest level of quality care and clinical results.
  • Collaborates with management to set clear goals, expectations and benchmarks for performance and assists with monitoring and maintaining staff performance, patient outcomes and achievement of the overall goals of the department.
  • Supports the development of colleagues utilizing the H3W behaviors, mentoring, role-modeling and providing educational opportunities.
  • Assists in preceptorship of new employees in collaboration with the Professional Education Department.
  • Remains current with standards from professional organizations and disseminates information to the department as appropriate.
  • Participates in regional councils and committees.
  • Supports organizational goals and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the quality department to ensure the practice is regulatory ready.
  • Ensures monthly regulatory audits are completed and follows up on action items.
  • Educates staff in regards to regulatory compliance on a regular basis.
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge of key regulatory standards related to patient populations.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
