About The Position

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, day shift. No weekends, no holidays. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. You will work primarily at 450 S. Yellowstone Dr. located in Madison, WI. You will be cross-trained and provide coverage to the other podiatry clinics within the Madison area as department needs arise. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Be part of a growing specialty: UW Health is expanding surgical and medical podiatry services and seeking an RN to join the integrated clinic team located on Yellowstone Dr. in Madison—an exciting opportunity to be the first RN integrated into this clinic location’s care model. Support a dynamic surgical podiatry clinic, partnering with rotating providers to care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical foot and ankle conditions. Provide comprehensive nursing support, including advanced phone triage, patient education, in-basket management, pre-visit planning, and assisting with in-clinic procedures. Care for a diverse patient population, supporting treatment for conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, bunions, gout, neuromas, sports injuries, arthritis, and other foot and ankle disorders using both conservative and surgical approaches. Deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to support excellent outcomes. Grow your expertise in an emerging specialty, with preferred experience in wound care or nail care certification welcomed as podiatry services continue to expand. Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire
  • 6 months of RN experience Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
  • experience in wound care or nail care certification welcomed as podiatry services continue to expand.
