About The Position

At Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida in Orlando, you’ll do more than practice exceptional pediatric nursing — you’ll help build the healthiest generations of children and shape the healthiest workforce in health care. If you’re energized by challenge, driven by purpose, and excited to be part of a story of growth, you’ll thrive here. Why choose us? Nemours Children’s is investing deeply — in our people, in our programs, and in our community. Our Orlando campus is undergoing a $300 million expansion, designed to meet the growing needs of kids across Central Florida. This project includes: Hospital Expansion (110,000 sq. ft.) – Doubling the ED square footage, expanding Imaging, and adding new inpatient beds (opens 2028) Surgery Center (75,000 sq. ft.) – Six ORs, expanded orthopedics, a Limb Lengthening Center, Florida’s only Gait and Motion Lab, and enhanced sports medicine (opens 2028) Administrative Building + 800-space Garage (75,000 sq. ft.) (opens 2027) Serving more than 300,000 children, we’re growing capacity — and opportunity — at a pace that matches Florida’s expanding pediatric population. Orlando provides numerous opportunities, especially for children with higher acuity needs. Inside Our PICU Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides advanced, family-centered care for up to 28 critically ill infants, children, and adolescents up to age 20. You’ll join a collaborative, high-acuity critical care team that includes experienced nurses, patient care technicians, critical care ARNPs, and board-certified critical care physicians working side by side. We are part of a rapidly growing critical care program, expanded by more than 50% in the past five years, with advanced capabilities including CRRT, and a nurse-led PICC team. Our unit delivers comprehensive medical and surgical management across all organ systems, including respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, hematology/oncology, gastrointestinal, and metabolic care. To support your continued growth, our PICU offers robust, year-round education, ensuring ongoing competency, confidence, and professional development for every team member. A PICU Nursing Career That Lets You Flourish Our culture is built for nurses who want to grow programs, teach, lead, and step forward with perseverance. Here, nurses are empowered, trusted, and supported in delivering Whole Child Health — addressing the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of every child and family. You’ll work in a hospital created “by families, for families,” where innovation, teamwork, and evidence-based practice drive everything we do.
