About The Position

Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay. Job Summary: Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice and promoting cooperation among the health care team. This position is represented by CNA.

Requirements

Graduate of a school of nursing: Required
One-year recent acute care RN experience: Required
Current RN license in state of practice: Required
Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required on hire and every two years for experienced nurses: Required
Novice, or new to L&D RN’s will take the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course during first 6-8 months of L&D orientation then AWHONN Advanced Fetal monitoring course every two years thereafter.: Required
Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required
Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN): Required
