Job Summary: Leads, facilitates, executes, coaches, consults and educates process improvement teams. Supports the organization’s transformation to a continuously improving organization. Coaches directors and managers in all aspects of performance improvement methods and tools. Manages, leads, coaches and facilitates performance improvement methodologies.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
  • Health Plan Care Manager experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Integrates stakeholders into the improvement process utilizing the Change Acceleration Process.
  • Delegates, supervises and evaluates abilities/performance of other team members.
  • Participates with unit manager and fellow associates in defining, implementing and evaluating unit goals.
  • Translates the theory and science of continuous improvement and innovation into the practical methods that achieve sustainable results.
  • Integrates process analysis into problem recognition and correction.
  • Designs experiments and small tests of change to test improvement hypothesis.
  • Promotes the development of a process improvement competency within the organization.
  • Supports the development and delivery of process improvement educational materials.
  • Coaches participants.
  • Follows policy, procedure, standards-of-care and protocol changes.
  • Develops and implements injury prevention programs.
  • Serves as a resource to nursing staff, pre-hospital personnel and other outside personnel related to trauma care and injury prevention education.
  • Provides patient and community injury prevention information.
  • Standardizes the care of trauma patients through education, performance improvement, injury prevention and legislative efforts.
  • Works with leaders to share success and create a common language of improvement and fidelity in the utilization tools.
  • Participates in cost effectiveness initiatives, seeks opportunities to eliminate inappropriate and wasteful use of resource, makes recommendations and assists in development of plans to meet monthly operational budget.
  • Follows policy, procedure, standards-of-care and protocol changes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
