About The Position

Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of d Governance.

Requirements

• All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must be actively enrolled in a BSN program and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.
• Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in the specialty area will be accepted in lieu of BSN.
• One year Med/Surg or related nursing experience.
• Current NJ RN licensure.
• Certifications in American Heart Association CPR required upon hire.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and CPI training within 6 months of hire. CPI training education provided by HMC.
• Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation upon hire.
• Stroke training 8 hours per year, Sexual Assault and Trauma training is required within 1 year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or other related specialty certification.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is recommended.
