About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Monitoring Conduct physical exams, measure vital signs, and review medical histories across all developmental stages—from newborns to adolescents.
  • Administering Medications & Treatments Safely deliver medications (oral, IV, injections), perform immunizations, and handle routine medical procedures. Continuously monitor patients for reactions
  • Care Planning & Coordination Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and social workers to create and implement individualized care plans and follow-up strategies.
  • Developmental Monitoring Observe and track growth and developmental milestones, adjusting care based on the child’s age and health condition.
  • Education & Emotional Support Provide parents and caregivers with instructions on disease prevention, home care, and medical equipment use. Offer emotional and psychological support during hospital stays or treatments.
  • Documentation & Compliance Accurately document patient observations, interventions, medication administration, and outcomes in compliance with legal and institutional standards.
  • Infection Control & Safe Environment Maintain clean, safe care settings, follow sanitation protocols, and ensure equipment is prepared and functioning properly.
