About The Position

Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for visits, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting providers with treatments and procedures, and medication administration. The role also involves supporting clerical functions such as scheduling, referrals, authorization, and in-basket support within the electronic medical records system. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time or hire

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  • Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
  • Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.
  • Preparing the patient for the visit.
  • Maintaining efficient patient flow.
  • Assisting the provider with treatments and procedures.
  • Medication administration.
  • Support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the electronic medical records.
