The M30 Pediatric Stepdowns a 13-bed unit that provides inpatient care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults who have a wide variety of acute and chronic medical and surgical needs. Our caregivers are part of a skilled team of medical professionals that uses state-of-the art technology and programs to care for our patients. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, Will consider military RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross within one year of hire

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families
