About The Position

Deliver specialized emergency care to pediatric patients at an Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This high-acuity role requires expertise in pediatric emergency medicine within a dedicated trauma center environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
• Active NY State RN License
• Current BLS & PALS and ACLS preferred
• 2+ years of recent high-acuity Pediatric ER experience
• EMR proficiency (EPIC experience preferred)
• Superior clinical assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an Adult Emergency Department
• Level 1/2 Trauma Center experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize pediatric emergencies
• Manage high-acuity cases in fast-paced trauma settings
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary trauma teams
• Administer specialized pediatric interventions
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system
• Provide family-centered crisis support
• Maintain readiness for pediatric resuscitation events
