Department Overview Doernbecher (DCH) 9S Pediatric Acute Care Surgical (PACS) is a 24-bed unit providing evidence-based, acute care for pediatric patients and their families from birth to young adulthood. Services that admit to DCH 9S PACS include and are not limited to: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and General Peds overflow. Our Mission: DCH 9S PACS is a people-centered, interdisciplinary, team-based system of coordinated patient care. The team will provide individualized, excellent care for all pediatric patients by working together with departments and specialists across Doernbecher and OHSU to ensure every patient and family receive the right care, at the right place and at the right time by the right people. The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The RN’s care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
