We are Hiring RNs at Peace Hospital- Adolescent Psych Unit, 2 Lourdes Location: 2020 Newburg Road Louisville, KY 40205 Shift: 7p-7a, Part time. Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older. Our Kosair for Kids Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country treating children and adolescents with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders. We have a partial hospitalization program for school-aged children and an inpatient specialty program for children and adolescents who have complex treatment needs, such as intellectual or developmental disabilities accompanied by acute behavioral and psychiatric symptoms.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky.
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Participation in the Nurse Residency program for new RN graduates.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Two years of hospital patient care experience.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic, continuous and comprehensive assessments of patient health status from admission or encounter to discharge across the care continuum to ensure patient safety.
  • Independently administer medications per licensure authority, assess and reassess the effects of these medications, and document administration in a timely manner.
  • In collaboration with patient and family, plan care using current scientific knowledge, theory, and care standards.
  • Identify and prioritize patient problems based on subjective and objective assessment data.
  • Implement nursing care interventions to meet patient and family center health care needs.
  • Evaluate care by performing regular and systematic reviews of patient/family responses to interventions.
  • Serve as an advocate for the patient and family, demonstrating respect for their rights and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with unlicensed assistive healthcare providers, assuring safe patient care delivery.
