About the position
Trinity Health Livingston Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their exceptional team. This role involves supporting the surgical unit and the acuity adaptable blended unit, providing high-quality care to patients in a critical care environment. The position is ideal for RNs with experience in hospital settings, particularly those with Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the surgical and acuity adaptable units.
- Support the Critical Care Unit as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with eligibility to sit for the NCLEX exam.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification for specific departments.
- Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining collegial and therapeutic relationships.
- Critical thinking skills for performing nursing duties effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Canadian Registered Nurse is encouraged.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
