M43 is a 15-bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit that provides specialized, high-acuity care for critically ill pediatric patients. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 to support close monitoring and individualized treatment. The patient population includes pediatric post-surgical cardiac patients, children admitted from home with cardiac conditions, general pediatric overflow patients, as well as transplant candidates and post-transplant patients. The unit also manages additional case types, including Medical ICU (MICU) overflow and other pediatric overflow cases. M43 works closely with the M40 Stepdown Unit to support patient progression through levels of care. The M40 unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3–4:1, providing continued monitoring and support for patients transitioning out of intensive care. We realize that flexibility is essential for many caregivers today. That’s why we offer a variety of PRN shift options—including staggered start times, flexible shift lengths, and specialized assignments—to fit your lifestyle. We’re proud to welcome experienced nurses into our caregiver family and are committed to providing the flexibility you need, no matter what life brings. A PRN caregiver in this position works day/night rotation shifts| 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am| PRN requirement is 48hrs. per 6-week schedule.
