About The Position

Hanford Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing care and support our residents with clinical excellence. Our RNs play a critical leadership role, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. General Purpose Provide supervision of daily nursing operations during assigned shifts and ensure resident care is delivered in accordance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and nursing best practices.

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of California
  • CPR certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of practice, and care planning
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and lead a care team effectively
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs and assist with resident mobility
  • Must be able to cope with emotional stress and interact with residents, families, and staff

Nice To Haves

  • long-term care experience highly preferred
  • Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff and oversee daily nursing operations
  • Assist the DON/ADON in implementing nursing policies and procedures
  • Participate in audits, surveys, QA programs, and care plan development
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed
  • Complete documentation, reports, evaluations, and incident/accident forms
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting, updating care plans, and reviewing nurses’ notes
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, residents, and families
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility privacy policies
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary
  • Conduct daily rounds to assess resident status and staff performance
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Start IVs; obtain lab specimens; perform diagnostic measurements (TPR, BP, etc.)
  • Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules for accuracy
  • Ensure rooms are prepared for admissions and assist with orientation of new residents
  • Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and notify physicians/next-of-kin
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for the shift
  • Delegate responsibilities and oversee CNA and LVN performance
  • Participate in performance evaluations, corrective actions, and coaching
  • Promote a positive, resident-centered environment
  • Assist with staff training, continuing education, and in-service programs
  • Follow and enforce infection control practices and safety protocols
  • Participate in disaster preparedness and fire safety drills
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Report occupational exposures, unsafe conditions, or suspected fraud
