About The Position

This part-time Registered Nurse (RN) position offers a flexible PM schedule, working approximately 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (hours may vary based on clinic needs). The role averages between 20 and 30 hours per week and is benefits-eligible. This position is ideal for a nurse seeking consistent part-time hours and a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
  • Valid Registered Nursing License
  • Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethics and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and documents assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard.
  • Develops the patient's Plan of Care (POC) per department/unit standards utilizing assessment data.
  • Evaluates the progress of patients toward attainment of desired outcomes.
  • Administers medication following department/unit standards and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Verifies and evaluates care delivered to ensure it is consistent with patient and family-centered care principles, practice standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
  • Promotes an environment conducive to positive educational experience for all students and staff.
  • Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
  • Effectively collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicates care appropriately through documentation in the medical record.
  • Reports variances in care/ systems/ processes through the appropriate means.
  • Participates in the recruitment/retention of staff.
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and in compliance with ANA standards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
