About The Position
Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional Medical Center is home to the region’s only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. As a Palliative Care RN, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team providing compassionate, patient-centered care that supports comfort and quality of life for patients and their families. Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and focused bedside evaluations following palliative consult referrals. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide pain and symptom management support within the RN scope of practice to enhance patient comfort and well-being. Round daily on assigned patients and coordinate updates with primary nursing and physician teams to ensure seamless continuity of care. Requirements
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE ) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate
- 1 year of experience in Palliative Care, geriatric, end of life care or related nursing specialty
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
- ELNEC - End of Life Nurse Education Consortium within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
Responsibilities
