About The Position

The position involves performing nursing and related activities within the Day Surgery, Endoscopy, and PACU Units. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices specific to these areas, ensuring patient care is delivered effectively and safely.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Professional Nursing School.
• One year of critical care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of principles, terminology, and standard practices regarding Day Surgery procedures.
• Leadership abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
• Current in CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing activities in the Day Surgery, Endoscopy, and PACU Units.
• Transport patients to other areas of the hospital, including ICU and Med/Surg.
• Start IVs and work independently in various surgical settings.
• Learn and assist in other areas of the OR and circulate during cases.
