About The Position

At Resurgens Fayette Surgery Center, health and care are inseparable, with a mission to care for every patient and their family as if they were their own. The center utilizes technology for orthopedic surgery procedures. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuous, high-quality nursing care for all patients, constantly evaluating their condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy. This role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques. The PACU RN is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients recovering from general anesthesia and/or sedation, in preparation for discharge.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required
PALS if required by the center
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities

Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients
Continually evaluate the patient's condition
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate
Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation
Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
