About The Position

The Recovery Room Registered Nurse (RN) at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Surgical Services. The RN receives patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments, monitors vital signs, and makes necessary interventions as prescribed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist. The RN may also assist in transporting patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors, as well as monitoring IV sedation and local cases in the Operating Room. The RN is expected to provide competent care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through geriatric.

Requirements

• One year of Critical Care or PACU experience or completion of a basic Coronary Care Class with hemodynamic experience.
• Current CA Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS (CPR), A.C.L.S, and P.A.L.S. certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients from the Operating Room and other departments.
• Monitor vital signs and make necessary interventions as prescribed.
• Assist in the transport of patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors.
• Monitor IV sedation and local cases in the Operating Room.
• Provide competent care for patients of all ages.
