The H70 Orthopedic Unit is dedicated to caring for adult post-operative orthopedic patients and overflow patients from the Neurological Institute and Department of General Surgery. Common surgeries performed on our patients include total hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty, revisions of hips, knees, and shoulders, and sarcoma resection. Osteoarthritis is the primary underlying disease for most of our patient population, along with infections of joints, osteomyelitis, fractures, sarcoma, and avascular necrosis. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00am – 7:30pm or 7:00pm – 7:30am.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of current acute care RN experience.
Will consider military RN experience
