About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to $20,000 in incentives for this opportunity! Taylor OR consists of 6 operating rooms, 1 cysto room, and 2 endo suites. Service lines include orthopedics, sports medicine, podiatry, hands, general surgery, and ophthalmology. We are comprised of RNs, surgical technologists and surgical first assistants as well as a surgical support staff to ensure we provide exceptional care for the community we serve and support surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout surgical procedures. No holidays and no Sundays. On call shifts are required. Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed, Magnet®-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography). As a Clinical Nurse with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for using the nursing process framework and incorporating patient-family-centered care principles to ensure the highest quality of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, you'll be a vital member of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Associates in Nursing Required
  • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
  • Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
  • 1 year of OR Circulating RN experience preferred
