RN or LPN - 36 Hours Weekly - Day Shift
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to serve at Essentia Living Center, our long-term care facility in Fosston, Minnesota. This RN or LPN works 12-hour shifts, 6 am to 6 pm, an average of 30 hours per week. Every third weekend and a holiday rotation are required. Sign-on bonuses are available: $3K for LPNs, $10K for RNs with an ADN, and $15K for RNs with a BSN. This employee qualifies for full time benefits. Requirements
- Education as required for licensure.
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state(s) of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
Responsibilities
- Responsible for organizing and providing care to residents through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
- A care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of primarily elderly patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
- Works both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress.
