The RN or LPN in a medical office serves primarily as a phone nurse within a medical office, responsible for caring for and treating patients under the provider's direction. Key duties include preparing patients for examinations, administering medications and injections, assisting in minor surgeries, and triaging incoming calls for nurse assessments. The nurse maintains crucial patient records, oversees sterilization of instruments, manages supply inventory, conducts laboratory tests, and may handle secretarial responsibilities, including pre-authorization for medications and patient education related to surgeries. Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
