Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 -$15,000 in sign on bonuses for this opportunity! About the unit With 2 floors and 164 beds we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Offers integrated services with a common mission: to provide goal orientated, compassionate care while living a healthy and active life to the greatest level possible. About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge We are located on a 10-acre campus. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided. Scope of work Registered Nurse (RN) Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician. Documents care provided via computer/written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required Associates in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required State of MI Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
  • Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) Required Completion of an approved nursing program
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required State of MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon hire
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
