Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services. What are we looking for in a Nurse? Nurses collaborate with various treatment teams to provide integrated, evidence-based treatment to clients. Nurses work closely with clients to administer medications, to provide education about prescriptions and general health needs, and to develop a treatment plan that reflects the clients’ goals. When possible, nurses will also coordinate with clients’ families or social supports to help position clients for success. Our programs have adopted trauma-informed principles to client care, so the nursing process will similarly take a respectful, client-centered approach. Training, continuing medical education, and regular supervision are provided as part of this position. This position will support our Jail Medication for Opioid Use Disorders (JMOUD) team which involves dosing medication for opioid use disorder in a carceral setting and soon in a mobile medication unit in the community. This team will help us increase access to evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorders to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. The program currently provides medication assisted treatment daily to individuals in jail, administration of medications, providing education about prescriptions and general health needs, and monitoring for intended effects and possible adverse reactions. Substance use treatment at Comprehensive is evidence-based and emphasizes harm reduction & continued progress toward each individual’s recovery goals. The schedule for this role is Sunday to Wednesday 6:00am to 4:00pm.
