This role is critical to provider efficiency, accurate coding, and quality patient care delivery.

Requirements

Active Georgia LPN or RN license
Current BLS certification
Active ACLS certification for RNs
Strong medical terminology knowledge
Exceptional documentation accuracy and typing proficiency
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

Document patient visits in real time during physician encounters
Accurately record medical history, physical exams, diagnoses, and care plans
Document patient education, risks/benefits discussions, and follow-up instructions
Ensure accurate capture of ICD-10 diagnoses and documentation to support billing compliance
Review and correct documentation errors prior to physician sign-off
Record interpretation of labs, imaging, and diagnostic results
Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, CMS, AMA, and legal documentation standards
Assist with patient assessment data collection
Manage and prioritize telephone encounters
Review hospital discharge records and outside clinical documents
Support care coordination and follow-up planning
Provide delegated clinical care within scope of licensure
Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff
