The unit consists of 2 floors and 164 beds, providing care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population served. The facility includes a long term care unit and a rehab unit, with designated areas focusing on specialties such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer. The mission is to provide goal-oriented, compassionate care while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge is located on a 10-acre campus with indoor and outdoor spaces designed to enhance independence, strength, and confidence. Most patient rooms are private and equipped with amenities for comfort and convenience.

  • Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
  • Demonstrates competency through the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.
  • Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required: Associates in Nursing, State of MI Registered Nurse (RN), AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved nursing program, State of MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon hire, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days.
