About The Position

RN or LPN Clinic FT M-F 8A-5P Mission of Department: We are dedicated to caring for all that seek our service in a competent, compassionate and professional manner. We are committed to continually striving to improve the quality of our service for patients, community and associates. Purpose of Position: Responsible for telephone triage, acting as a liaison between providers and patients. Communicates with patients, pharmacists and physicians on prescription refill requests. Obtains and administers narcotics as ordered by the providers. Assist medical assistant in rooming patients as needed. Communicate test results to patients. RN or LPN Clinic Essential Functions: Basic knowledge of medical software Make appointments as needed Telephone triage Assist with office surgeries Blood pressure checks Administer injections as needed Dressing changes Ear lavage Schedule Outpatient procedures and complete necessary paperwork. Utilize standing orders to assist providers. Document communication with patients in EMR. Prescription refill authorization per medication protocol and thru E-Scribe. Check patients into rooms as needed – update all PMH in EMR. Patient education Assist MA/Nurses as need Fill in for absent staff as need Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. In-Service as required by SCH

Requirements

  • RN or LPN licensure, CPR certified
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, providers and the general public
  • Able to document in a neat, legible manner and be able to spell medical and pharmaceutical words correctly.
  • Communication skills to train new and current staff.
  • Ability to effectively triage patient calls.
